Chair yoga is a form of yoga as therapy, developed by Lakshmi Voelker-Binder in 1982, practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. The poses, or asanas, are often adaptations of modern yoga poses.
Chair Yoga is a customized yoga solution for staff who are too busy or tight on space to participate in a traditional corporate yoga class with mats.
This program is extremely effective at helping employees to recharge their batteries for the remainder of the day, or deeply release stress at the end of the day, leading to a more productive workplace and healthier, happier people.
It is suitable for people sitting in front of the computer for long. The chair Yoga sessions are usually kept short, ranging between 15 – 30 minutes and can be done in office clothes.
